The house is going really well.. Got the carpet and tack strip pulled up from 4 out of the 6 rooms. For those of you who have never experienced the joys of home improvement, tack strip, which holds your carpet down, is nailed directly into the concrete foundation of the house. So the only way to get it out is with a crowbar and hammer.

THIS paticular job also has the advantage of having been pee'd on for nearly 10 years by 30 cats (no joke.. 30.. 3 x 10.. 'the ravenous horde' is a description we use) so everything smells like.... well, 10 years of fermenting cat piss.

And i've broken out in hives (which look like this and itch like CRAZY!! The only treatment for them is to keep cool, and to stop doing whatever caused them. My guess is that I'm having some kind of allergic reaction to the house. So I can't stop it until its done... YAY!

(deep breath) it will all be better soon. Soon, I shall have my own house that I can be loud in, and throw parties in, and most importantly, SLEEP in.
